After a decade, they pulled their ad. Ugh. I worked with them several times over two weeks with offers, ideas, you name it, to no avail.
This one hurts for obvious reasons. Their decision came from up high I'm told.
Well, it's up to you who to buy from but between you and me, buying from IPD, eEuro, and Volvo Wholesale Parts is a way to support the remaining parts retailers who support MVS. Tell em I sent you.

Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

This is very sad. I love FCP, but recently their parts catalogue and customer service has been lacking. On the other hand, I just discovered eEuroparts now offers a limited lifetime replacement on parts bought through them, so I may be giving them more business from now on.

what does "limited" mean?
sorry about FCP. They must know something, like that people are over Volvo. Everything is BMW in the foreign DIY. It wont be long until most parts are NA for the older cars, and not needed for the newer ones since nobody can fix them except dealer under warranty. warranty over- chuck the car like you see with Mercedes and jaguar. really nobody works on anything any more. even here the questions are how to fix it cheap to get down the road another 6 months, not enthusiasts loving the car. buggy whip situation, move on or hold the fort. would be nice if when the light go out the old posts didn't disappear form a google search.
Ive notice about ten years ago all the google ranking for chat info disappeared for paid ranking placement, plus face book killed the
chat rooms. People dont even sell on craigslist anymore, an ugly tattooed man I talked to said he just sold all the parts off his truck he wrecked. I asked where and he said facebook. In my life I have seen a lot of things come and go but I still hate change. how would you
feel about MTS? ; the site for hacking Tesla for better blue tooth and quicker charging. Really, the earlier post about California paying 1500 to get these gas guzzlers off the road to make room for diesel pick ups should have been a wake up call to sell this stock now.

I buy from most all of them...recently, several hundred bucks from FCP.
DIYers tends to be generational, with newest generation looking for "plug-n-play"
These older Volvos are fewer and far between, so I'm sure 940s/240s/etc are not part sellers for them, and when something major fails, they are taken to salvage yards.
I'll send them an email, but I suspect they have head-counted who shows up there...from some of their sales, it would appear they are dumping "old stock." I bought some 240 McPherson struts real cheap recently.

Try to send my parts purchase elsewhere Matt. I have become almost a total IPD buyer anyway. I cannot say enough good about IPD, anytime I have an issue at all, or need help finding a part, they help quickly. Europarts is good, but the shipping costs are not so good, I have not tried Volvo Wholesale Parts yet

If Volvo Wholesale Parts is a supporter, why is there no ad or link in the banner?matthew1 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 12:41 Well, it's up to you who to buy from but between you and me, buying from IPD, eEuro, and Volvo Wholesale Parts is a way to support the remaining parts retailers who support MVS. They wanted a 2nd tier placement. So, sidebar on Home/VRD pages. Same with VolvoMechanics and OEM Parts Direct.

So, I don't understand how ads, sponsors and the like work. Are they looking for clicks, purchases or both? Do I have to click the sites ad link for it to count every time?
I want to support the site and its it's amazing free content however, I'm going to buy quality parts at the lowest price and the least amount hassle possible.
Maybe a "support our sponsors" page with all the links in one place so I have "hub" to go thru the different sites and find the best price?
I'm new to the site, I'm spitballing, I'm dumb on how these things work but I want to help without out it being a pain for anyone.

A whole sponsors page would be cool.
Shout out to Volvo Mechanics. They allowed me to find a Volvo indie within 100 miles AAA towing distance when my delta links completely failed while 600 miles from home. Saved me thousands in labor. Wouldn't have known about VolvoMechanics if it weren't for MVS, so advertising here does work!matthew1 wrote: ↑02 May 2019, 12:33 They wanted a 2nd tier placement. So, sidebar on Home/VRD pages.
