Really? I thought the ECM had to be "Virgin". As in refurbished or new. I read multiple threads about people buying used ones and the dealer telling them that they cant program it because it already had software on it.

This something new? Or the dealers just aren't allowed to use this trick?

And an update: I cleaned the ECM with baking soda, rinsed with distilled water and then rinsed with ISO alcohol to remove all the corrosion. Got it looking brand new.
It didnt help, some IC must of been burnt out from the shorting, or there is some corrosion that i cant get to.
So going to need another ECM.

Yes, we can clone this ECM. But, if serious, I do not think issue in ECM. For get more info, need to connect to car and read few parameters first. We can do it online.

You think the ECM was still functioning right with all the corrosion on it?
I don't have a VIDA DiCE. I could buy one if we really need to though.
What parameters do you need? Maybe I can find them with the Autel Maxisys pro?

When you first put the key in and try to start it, the dash lights come on but it will not crank. If you leave the key in position II for a minute or so it will crank but it doesn't get any fuel and will not start.
Did you solve this issue? This is not immob related so you have many things going on

As of now, if I do the key fob lock/unlock 5 times. The immobilizer warning on the dash goes away and I can crank the car as soon as I put the key in. Sometimes the antiskid warning disappears at the same time, sometimes it doesn't. But they will both come back after a short period of trying to start the car. Then it goes back to not doing anything with you first put the key in.

I feel like it is behaving more after cleaning the ECM. Actually letting me reset the immob.
Im not 100% sure if I ever got the immob warning to go off before cleaning it. Ive tried so many things i cant remember anymore.

Also will these cars start with the MAF disconnected? I tested it both it with it unplugged and plugged in just to make sure it wasn't the MAF causing a no start and the car going into immob after an extended crank. Obv that wouldn't cause all the communication errors. But incase there is multiple problems, just trying to rule out as much as possible.

I can say something after diagnostics only.
I can do it online through DiCE.

I am surprised you had corrosion on the ECM. It should be protected from liquids by its box.

- Do you have the under-engine splash plate in place?

- Someone is currently having a problem with power steering fluid leaking out of the top of their PS reservoir. Do you have a steady level in your PS reservoir or is it dropping?

As you saw corrosion on the ECM, perhaps some other electronics (even wiring) might have the same issue. I think it is important to try to determine where the fluid come from and where it got to, although the other issues may be unrelated.
