Keep getting the P0443 code which is leaving me unable to renew my tag. So far, I’ve replaced the following:
1. Purge valve (twice)
2. Fuel shutoff valve (twice)
3. Hose from the purge valve that “y’s” out to the intake manifold and engine intake hose
4. J-pipe
Any other ideas?

My bad. I was multitasking when I made this post. I'll adjust the content and title.
I have a code P0443, not P0043. Doh!
Now, any ideas anyone?

You got a open, short or a power supply failure in the loom to the Purge Valve.
1. Check/clean the connector to the Purge Valve.
2. Make sure the Purge Valve is getting power.
3. Ohm out the loom for shorts and opens.

I'll get looking. Any chance the B+ cable from the battery could have anything to do with this?
I know it's late to the party. But I had the same deal changed out all the culprits only to realize it was a blown 20amp fuse. Now that's a DOH! moment!
Well, 3 miles down the road and it's back (P0443). So now I'm going to see where the short is occurring. Start with the CVVT that I changed out, reverse the wiring perhaps. That is when this all started. Fingers crossed.
Nope wasn't that!
Couldn't find any shorts. But when I swapped the wires on the CVVT , ran like crap. so they were correct. And when I swapped them back the fuse blew. So i then decided to put the original CVVT back on and low and behold runs with no fuse blown out. OK is the new Solenoid bad. Anyone know the resistance for one of these things? I get around 4 ohms. I'll haft to search around and see if I can find it. Can't return it cause I ordered it last year damn it.
