Glue recommendation for door panels?

The passenger door panels in my s70 have separated. Any tips on what glue to use to reconnect the two parts (see pics)? I was thinking 3m 90?

And any tips on what to use to reattach the "leather", which is a little separated around the door handle?

I did it with double-sided tape. No issues.
And now about the "leather". It's vinyl actually. Pretty hard to fix. R door cards is great example on how to fix them properly.

There is no easy way to fix this issue as they were probably built originally using a vacuum set-up and as the glue breaks down with age the vinyl shrinks making it hard to fix.

If you want original then it will be hard. There was a company advertising on MVS for a panel to put into that section for a repair and to hide the issue. Looked pretty good.

As for the 2 panels on the doors separating, I have used PL construction adhesive and careful use of wood clamps and weights to prevent indentation on the vinyl (like a 'pro' did on my 'R' door panel).

You may also find various mounts have broken off inside the panel, including a weird little one near the door button on the top of the panel. This one supports the rear of the panel in that area. I used to throw them away until found what they were for!!

I've had pretty good success so far using hot glue gun.

I went with 3m 90 spray adhesive and a 3m "emblem adhesive" that was lying around. Looking good so far. Luckily my friend has a vast collection of clamps, which appears to be the secret sauce. Used paint stirrers behind the claws.

I know this is a very old thread but I feel it deserves a bump because it was the easiest to find. I am finally, after almost 3 years getting around to fixing my door panels. Got some great leather inserts from Redline Goods a couple years ago and will be doing them soon.

The 3M 90 seems to be the easiest for me to get adhesive for the task so I would like to know how its been holding up? I was going to use that for the leather.

And, what is the best adhesive to reattach the actual door panel parts back together and the tabs that hold the clips? Those will be under a lot of pull force when removing the door panel again. I was thinking JB weld or some sort of construction adhesive. But wasnt sure what is the strongest and what will survive the heat.

I tried adhesive tape with little success.
I then tried contact cement for long term success. I scrapped off as much of the old adhesive as I could with a knife. Apply the contact cement every where there is contact and allow to dry. Find lots of clamps and shims (paint stir sticks are good) and plan your assembly. I used twice as many clamps to get good contact everywhere.
Apply acetone to activate the contact cement.
Quickly assemble and clamp. Allow to cure at least 24 hours.

There are so many kinds of contact adhesives though. I’m thinking of using loctite fuze it max construction adhesive. It has a sustainable very high temperature rating. Should be plenty high enough for a car interior.

Last week was in a hurry so instead of removing, cleaning and finding new fabric I just sprayed Gorilla Adhesive on the 09 S60 A-Pillar old fabric. Didn't bother cleaning just dusted some of the old crumbs that easily fell off. Came apart almost the full length but was half the width towards the bottom. Sticks really well but don't saturate like mine in some areas or it will come through. Also, don't need to put pressure or else the fabric will sink and be uneven like mine. Can use the same adhesive for the door card but spray more liberally.

Had used construction and high temp adhesive on the 03 S80 T6 and 07 S60 door cards. Took too long to dry and had to use a lot of clamps and weights such as gallon of bleach or laundry detergent strategically placed for good adhesion. The 03 held up for quite a few years till the car went to the dismantlers last week. The 07 is still not in service but I'm sure the construction adhesive should hold up.

My suggestion is to NOT remove / clean the old adhesive so when you put it back together it can help mate the two surfaces back to the original position. The old stuff is hard, dry and not flaky so no need for the extra work unless it is peeling off.
