Renamed thread as I still have no idea where this part goes or anything other than 'air duct'

:D :D :D

I found no provision for it on my DENSO ECU box on my P2 - but that is where it has to be.

I still believe it is part of hvac ducting inside the cabin compartment. Looks similar to the vents that direct air to rear seats in my cars. They run along the tranny hump, under the carpet. Could be a vent that is under dash also.

I think I know where to look. Behind the Engine coolant Reservoir and the Power Steering Fluid reservoir.

Lift out the two reservoirs, I think you will find a vent hole in the sheet metal for one end, the other end connects to the back of the ECM box.

It is the passenger side drain for the cowl. It connects to the firewall behind the strut tower. Being in a tight spot I had to take pictures at different angles to capture it for you. If a mechanic did not reattach during a timing belt service they were a hack and I would not trust the work. I have seen that drainpipe off my car during both timing belt services. Both done by my Volvo dealer so pipe was put back properly. June

It is the ECM box vent tube. Endangered species.
