Factory Chrome / Stainless End Pipe / Exhaust Tip

Post by TWS »

Hi, First post on this forum. We have a '98 S70 in need of a new exhaust system. All of the replacement systems on the market have a standard exhaust tip / end pipe. We would like to use an oem style tip with the chrome / stainless end.

We looked online and came up with a part number of what may be the part, but the picture is just an outline drawing of the tip, and not an actual photo. The part number is 3529341, at the bottom of this list:

Can anyone confirm that this is the correct tip we are looking for? Or the part number of what we should be looking for instead?

The car is a non-turbo, 5-speed, 2wd

Thank you for any help you can provide!

It's hard to tell from the diagram if the tip is chrome plated or just galvanized steel. It might be best to ask the seller if they can provide a photo or a better description. Another option is to go to a junkyard and pull an old tip. I did that and it was surprisingly inexpensive (under $5). The tip itself was in pretty good shape and I've been using it for the past 4-5 years. The hardest part was pulling the tip off of the rusty rear exhaust pipe.
