ok, got my rock auto 8.55 dollars total belt. 2010 stock made in Germany. that means its out of warranty. Ill put it in a customers car.

Continental Contitech does have a install by date.

Do you think Continental does this because their stuff is inferior or or because their reputation is more important than a quick sale?

Obviously by your use of the word we, you are one member of the set. Who are the other members or do you stand alone, as in We = Me, Myself and I?
