hi to all hope someone can help

above vehicle always starts ok but after driving for a few miles and you approach a crossroads it takes on a mind of its own and revs at 3 to 4000 non stop

throttle cable is free and easy and one garage has already fitted a new stepper motor at over 100 brit pounds to no avail any further help greatly needed please this car has only done 60 000 miles

this car also has a self diagnostic socket with the blink code system so can anyone advise where to download how to carry out the steps to do this thanks for your time

You have obviously found the magic box. Instructions for using it can be found at: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/chat/p ... c&start=12

Yours is identical to those fitted to the 2, 7, and 9 series.

Use socket number 2 on the 440.

The 440 trouble codes are:

I don't know why my printer decide to make some of them red as they were blue on the original. That's computers for you.

If you need more info don't hesitate to post.

Clearing the codes is a must. If the problem has been solved by replacing the stepper motor but the codes have not been cleared then the system thinks it still has a problem.

Clear them, see how the car performs and check for codes after a few days.
