Dell M4600/M4700 & M6700 M6800 mobile workstations (fancy name for a high spec durable build laptop). Seems to be a flood of these coming off lease to the used/refurbished market driving the resale prices down at the moment.
Just set up two friends with examples of these, one friend got a M4700 15" i7 3830MQ (quad core cpu), SSD boot drive, Nvidia Quatro graphics Win10 pro for $260. Second friend got a M6800 17" even faster/newer I7 4700MQ quad core , SSD, AMD firepro graphics for the rock bottom jaw dropping price (considering the hardware) of $350.
The 6700/6800 models can still be found new in box (old stock) in excess of $2000 for a higher spec quad core + discrete GPU + SSD builds. Sometime, likely in the next 3-12 months, the glut of off-lease machines is likely to dry up with prices rebounding at least somewhat.
A little heads up if you're in the market for a good *fast* solid built lappy (not thin and light type, full size laptop that's upgradeable).
Awesome laptops for VIDA (and general use)

Tempting but my nine year old Lenovo Thinkpad Workstation W510 is still flying. Like a Volvo it keeps going and going.

If they made those Dells with a touchscreen I'd probably be after one for myself. For websurfing I can't seem to live without it so I'll be hanging on to the Samsung NP680 TFN unless it dies. The samsung lappys aren't known for longevity like the true mobile workstations usually are. The speaker/headphone amp on it puked some time ago already I have to use bluetooth or HDMI devices for audio.

Just set a different friend up with the M6800 17" i7-4800QM 16GB/Quadro K3100/SSD for ~$350. Powerhouse laptop for the price. Seller was turning 5 identical machines from some corporate.
