Butyl tape I believe. That's the lazy way to stop squeaks.
It is indeed butyl tape forced in from the top and it works really well. A piece of electrical or duck tape ( cloth) might clean up the cosmetics a bit.

Is this a straight swap?
Well, the light bulb holder on the facelift is one piece, not in two like the pre-facelift.
You'll also need the connectors for the new light bulb holder, as they´re not the same either, so there
will be some wiring to do.
Plus, you´ll have to add resistors for the LED brake light, if you don´t want the "broken bulb" warning to show
every time you press the brake.

Seems like alot to do, but it goes pretty fast :D

Needed a break from life. Took the T5 deep into the Adirondack park to a cabin removed from life’s worries.

Can’t escape Sweden though.

I always love seeing wagons doing wagon things!

Had my cousin correct my alignment today, now my steering wheel is straighter. For some reason it seems I can never get it perfectly straight. It sure looks good though!

Stance looks nice. Should you have an R on your egg crate?

Stars up here incredible at night. No light pollution. Just walked dogs for a bio break and spent 30 minutes admiring constellations.

Very nice!

Thanks! I'm happy with how it sits now. iPd springs up front and nivomat fooler spacers in the rear. It actually rides really nicely.
Now you got my thinking... I need to find a small R badge.

You'll have to provide the information for this hidden gem at some point =)
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Route 12 up to the Adirondack park. Lots of places to put the Transporter for free.

Need to teach thegirls how to pee in the woods and that some stick s in the woods rattle and bite.

Unfortunately, blew it up, again! I had the car perfectly ready for Carlisle this year and my torque converter seal blew (5k after replacing the engine)... Took it to Swedish Imports and they diagnosed it as a bad axle seal. $260 later it was still peeing fluid on the ground and the flashing arrow of doom lit up alongside the check engine light. I moved it 20 feet and it peed out a quart of fluid on Saturday. Devastated, we cleaned up the S40 and took it to Carlisle- where I picked up a 120k mile M56H swap kit. Though I have a spare automatic in the garage, I figure do it once and do it right- manual transmisison. Still trying and failing to source a flywheel, I've already purchased a clutch kit and hundreds of dollars worth of other stuff. I question why I keep this thing alive still...Justin gave up on it years ago
