FYI I think some have actually had good experience with the rack stop leak solution stuff.

It will either solve your problem for a while, or tell you you need a new steering rack. Recommend ATP-205.

A 2000 came from the factory with Pentosin PS fluid. You can use Pentosin or ATF, either one of those works well, but you do not want to mix them. The Pentosin is greenish, ATF is read.

If you don't know what fluid the system has then I would probably remove as much as possible with a turkey baster, then refill it, run it for a 10 minutes with lots of turning the wheel then flush it one more time, so you know exactly what is in there. Capacity is small like 20 oz. My preference is ATF, DexIII works great.

As a rule I stay far, far away from snake oil in a can solutions, but ATP AT-205 has been very successful for people on this forum, in several places including PS. You could use that with Pentosin. For PS leaks, Valvoline MaxLife ATF is another one worth trying, people here have had good success with that too.

I was thinking about introducing the ATP-205 but wasn't sure if it would be considered snake oil on the forum. I recently purchased 6 bottles after a seeing Scotty Kilmer's video suggesting its use. So far I've put it in a 03 Odyssey PS Pump as it has been ever so slowly seeping at the hose for a couple of years.

There is also a wet drip that never comes down on the driveway on the 03 S80 T6. Not sure if it has always been there before I did the Filter Change, Trans-Flush and Transgo Shift Kit on the Volvo GM transmission. One poster said it could be a Torque Converter seal so I thought I give it a try. Just wipe that never drip fluid off today and will report back if it is gone due to the ATP-205.
