Exterior trim color back

I used black plastic spray paint on my trim and rubbed it in. It's lasted three years by now and looks very much like a proper factory plastic finish.

Flood Penetrol is Naphtha. I can see how Naphtha could redistribute what pigmentation remains and make it look better but that is cosmetic because it does not return the pigmentation to original condition.

Forever Black replaces the pigmentation lost to UV damage bringing it back to original condition. Restoration means to return something to original condition.

When I get around to the cosmetics on my XC90 project. I am thinking of using Forever Black to restore the pigmentation then shoot a UV protectant clear coat for plastics to keep it that way.

I saw a video recently of someone using Transmission fluid to rejuvenate bare black plastic on the exterior. Couldn't find it but found this other video of mixing equal parts Mineral and Baby Oil? Why mix the 2 in equal parts if they are the same?

Wipe New, it holds maintenance-free for a few years (> 3-4).

Interesting? Reviews in Amazon and Walmart does have complaints that it does not last perhaps from not decreasing or allowed it to cure properly.

All plastic trim to restore has to be cleaned and degreased. If you wipe it over a silicone stain - it won't do anything.

My bumpers were shining for a couple of months like they were treated recently with a silicone spray, but eventually turned to a matte finish, pretty much like it was when new. And they stay like that for years.

Wipe New and Lamin-X headlight lens film are two best thing I did for the appearance of the car. I abuse the car taking it to nowhere, the bumpers don't care.

Nice! A picture is worth the price of purchase. Haven't seen that clean of a bumper on a Volvo in awhile. Maybe it's the contrast to the nice blue shiny paint

. I will see how the 303 (30306) Aerospace Protectant I had used for the first time hold up. Then again maybe be done with it one time for awhile?

One more thing to mention: Wipe New fills the pores and restores optical conductivity to inner layers of material. If it can't leak inside the plastic, it won't be able to do much. I can guess that it won't work well on previously repainted plastic without some serious degreasing and washing.
