Re: brake noise

Post by jantt »

just come to thinking of could it have something to with the hydraulicpump ?

because sometime I think the noise comes from different wheels
have driven with different people and some front and others say back and some says left and others right

How about swapping the rotors left to right and right to left if they do not have directional slots or directional drilled vents? Be sure to note any difference in the noise or perhaps it'll go away.

Is the same rotor on both sides. No left or right

I can try to swap, but sometimes it`s like the noise from front and sometimes from the back

Part 17 new from last year or now while fixing noise?

So looking at the original post again till now:

1) Changed to 16" last year.
2) 16" started to make noise 6 weeks ago.
3) Changed a bunch of parts and adjusts

Assuming 1 ~ 3 is correct did the noise changed at all anytime during all the change in parts and adjustments?

Yes 1 to 3 is right and noise didn`t change

Just think if the pins that comes out from the hydraulic box to the controlunit is hanging, that is could cause it ?

Since the noise began with the old set of brakes then a part from last year which was not changed out is causing the problem. Did you hit any large pot holes or run up a curb? Alignment been checked?

Not familiar with that part but why do you suspect that unit?

Yes started with old parts and then started to change

Has changed rotors, pads, caliperes and hoses
Has hit no holes

I suspect that part because sometime I think the noise comes from left and right.
Sometimes front and somtimes back
The pins move in and out into pistons in the control unit

If the pins sometime hang then it could cause it?
