Hi,
I have a good condition 2001 V70 XC with 652000 km on the odometer.
However the speedometer reads about 15% too fast.
I have 205/55R16 tires on there but I believe it was originally 215/65r16. This should account for about 8% of the difference.
Is there any way to adjust the speedometer to match actual speed ?
2001 V70 XC , speedometer misreads 137km/h when actual speed is 120km/h

Correct Tyre size would be a better option. As it is now you're getting the wrong gear ratios and everything as well as the speed showing too high. 214/65-16 is indeed the correct one. The car is programmed so it'll show a few km too high with the correct tyres as well if compared to a GPS but the difference should be quite small.
Speedometer can be adjusted but you need to find someone who can change the carconfig to do it.

Can the adjustment be done using VIDA ? (I have it working)
This is my backup car so I'll be with these tires until they wear out (probably 2 more summers). So I'd like to adjust if possible.

A regular vida doesn't have the capability to change the carconfig. People who can reprogram the car to add equipment should be able to help though. I only know a guy here in Sweden not on your end. But im thinking trying to swap tyres with someone is probably cheaper.

Thanks,
Is this a special version of vida ? Does it have a distinctive name I could search for ?
This is my backup car and I don't want to spend more on tires than I already have. So it will stay like that until they are used up.

Smartphones have speedometer applications. Mount it safely on window or vents using magnets.
Had this mount for a over a year in my P2.

I have an android auto dock works great but if I want to use the gps app I need to exit android auto, it's kind of annoying but that'll do I guess.
Though, the computer is so conveniently accessible, I am tempted to mess with it with my microcontroller programming tools
