hello all!
yesterday the drivers window gets stuck in the down position after a long day.
im guessing its the main control switch?
i just took the door panel off, only to find there wasn't really much i could do!
is it possible to use a jumper in the harness to spring the motor back to life while i get ahold of a new master switch ? or am i barking up the wrong tree and should be looking somewhere else/
just finished putting the door back on, everything works perfectly mirrors, other windows, just the drivers window doesn't budge. no click, no noise, no nothing.
thanks for any and all help

Can you try this to test the motor? I know it's a Honda but... EDIT: Follow the window motor wiring.

If the door panel is off you should be able to do as suggested and jumper the wires. You can also test the motor's resistance with a VOM to see if it good. Test to see if a signal is being received wit a VOM. If no VOM just send it power and try to power it to raise the window.

Hello,
I had this issue because the plastic sliding jaws have broken:

alright, i just tried to jump it with both my battery box and an actual battery - nothing.
no noise, no movement. nothing.
i do not have am VOM, had a flood in the basement a few years ago and lost it.
adriansimo - were you able to replace them with the window in the down position?

I recently removed all 4 panels on my 03 S80 and it is less than a couple of minutes for each. Assuming it is the same for the 04 and since you don't have a VOM I suggest trying the jumper on the passenger window motor to be sure you did it properly. Start with the window up just in case...
