What are these pictures of in my XC90 engine compartment?

OK so from looking at your pics I am missing the gray sensor off the fuel rail. These pics are very helpful thank you.

Yes, it's a long and sad story about my XC90. Suffice to say I learned a lesson about dealing with mechanics who are family members. I have not seen my car in three years until I finally got fed up and picked it up to take home. I am going to work on it here until I get in over my head. So it looks like the engine they put in does not have the correct fuel rail. Now I have to find that part. I am wondering what other gremlins I will encounter. I am committed to getting it back on the road and fixed correctly. I appreciate everyone's help!
