Seat Side Molding Manual Seat Height Adjustment

Post by sstevens »

Does anyone know how to install a new Seat Side Molding on a seat with a Manual Height Adjustment lever? This is for a 2005 Volvo S 60 without power seats. The lever does not appear to be easily removed and I do not want to crack the new molding by trying to force it over the lever handle.

Found a hex screw on bottom of plastic lever, and when removed, lever easily removed. :D

Now my car is a 2002 and they did change the seats I think for the 04 MY but maybe this helps. You have to remove the lever handle first. Pull it up to reveal a clip on the inner (seat cushion facing) side. Release the clip and remove the handle.

Well, I half expected that. The clips are too obvious on the variant I have. Good luck finding the solution!
