Question....what do you say when you are running 100 octane sitting on Highway 4 stuck in Tampa to Orlando traffic?

Going to Italy, Germany and France I haven't noticed fuel being that much cheaper tbh. The most I ever paid anywhere was in Italy.. A lot of other things are cheaper everywhere but Switzerland and Norway though.

Way late to this thread, but I use 87 (R+M/2? US pump) octane in my '95 854T (258,000 miles).
One family owned and I think that's all it ever had.

I was under the impression that anything less than 93 and you ran the risk of burning valves in our cars.
Turbo or NA. Or am I wrong? If I am than I'm back to 87 in my NA 850 and save a few bucks at the pump.

There is a thread gathering data on octane and valve failures , but there are a lot of confounding factors.

One is the premium additives in gas, which usually come in higher octane gas but not in cheap stuff.

Do you think adding say MMO or the likes to 87 could compensate some for 93 additive packages? If that is what it's really about, additives and not octane.
I always thought it was the octane though and not the additive package.
I run the local grocery store 93 most of the time unless I'm passing a top tier place with gas cheaper or the same price as the grocery store.
I know on an old tired 460 I have with burnt valves it helps on oil consumption a lot. (the MMO that is, not 93)
