Washed the daily last night and put her in the garage to fix the sunroof that seems to be leaking. I discovered some water under the front floor mats, always fun...
Also removed the SC901 and amp in preparation to list this car (saving that for an 850 T-5R I’ll eventually have!). I need to thin the herd if I’m ever going to build something interesting!

So today I decided to install my old amplifier and subwoofer into my S70. But... when I opened the bonnet I couldn't find any holes in the firewall to guide the big red wire through (the one that comes directly of the plus terminal of the battery).
I've searched the repair database, Google, YouTube, er cetera, but I can't seem to find any good clues/pictures of where to look. Do you guys have any tips for this Dutchie?

There are pass-throughs on the firewall on the driver and passenger sides. If you look under the main fuse box (may need to remove it), you'll see a piece of corrugated hose with a rubber piece on the end with nipples that can be cut off to run wires/hoses. There is one located on the passenger/right side of the car in the same area, just look down low on the strut tower.
Inside, you'll find it under the dash behind the main connector panel on both sides.

Does the SC901 work in the 850s? I would rather like one but was under the impression it needed a bunch of additional pieces to get it working. Oh, and thanks for the brake line info!

I cleared the P0600 code on my ‘00 V70 for the hour-plus drive to Queens, and it was fine. Then cleared it again for the return trip, and it didn’t reappear while driving. I’ve ordered the ECU removal tool in the hope that cleaning it might solve the issue.

It does. All you need is a factory amp of your choice and the wiring harness for it. I used the 4x50 watt amp that mounts under the passenger seat. You just need to run the wiring up through the console to the radio and plug it all in. Pretty easy job.
Additionally, you can add the Dolby sound processor and the center channel speaker and dash, but it's not necessary. A lot of people say it's worth adding because it sounds really good, but comparing my GLT to my R (R has the center channel and sound processor stock, I never installed those in my GLT) I prefer how the GLT's system sounded. Then again, I may have a blown speaker or two in the R. I haven't bothered to check yet.
I love how the SC-901 sounds, much better than any aftermarket system I've heard in these cars.

Ill sign an affidavit that you can bring back her cool AC with a mere three more parts Volvos this summer.

New discs all the way around, 302mm upgrade up front and new lines

Only issue I ran into was the new pads rubbing
I ended up putting the old pads back in, they weren't that old anyway (a millimeter thinner than the new ones)
Also got my squeaking dash out to find out the tabs are looking brand new

Finally washed the S90 after almost 5 months of ownership and drove it into the garage. I also popped on the piece of door trim that was missing, all the clips were broken and I got some from the junkyard last week. Tomorrow I'll put on the good passenger mirror glass I have (original one is gray... seems the finish peeled away many years ago) and maybe drop the transmission pan to diagnose the whining pump. I'm pretty sure it's dead, but who knows... maybe I'll be able to clean it up, replace the filter, and have it working well again.
After a quick drive up and down the street, the car shifts pretty well. I honestly think this is the first time I've driven it off the driveway since I bought it... I guess that shows I have too many cars!

Two weeks ago I removed the radiator, intercooler, intake manifold, and PCV system. Last weekend installed a new PCV system, cleaned the throttle body, intake manifold, and engine. Today, after work, I started reinstalling; the radiator and intercooler are bolted in. Tomorrow, start connecting the plumbing with new hoses and clamps.
