Probably best path is internet search for "2007 XC90 EWD", see how far you get. Can try for 2006 but I did not see, think it's the same for the audio a year or two either way.

thanks , I'm wanting to hookup an aftermarket subwoofer , and someone said it could hook one wire from left and one from the right speaker to sub and factory amp would adequately support the sub, I bought an entire sound system and was quoted over $2000 to install which is four times what I paid for the system

I think you are trying to describe the top picture. By the way the wiring is the same for the bottom picture. Let me now if you can see that and if that is what you think the person is telling you to do?

In the (my) old days (78-81) that was a poor teenager's reverb setup for a semi custom car stereo. The speaker will produce a slight delay producing an echo giving the music a more live performance sound. We also installed a rheostat (knob) inline with one of the wires to control how much echo depending on the genre of music.

I don't believe that will drive your sub-woofer unless it has a built in amp. At that point I don't know how the basics of electronics (forgotten most) theory will apply or produce the sound coming out.

thank you for the input , I have now tried it and you are correct , this does not push the subwoofer so I'm going to attempt to install the amps and crossovers next if I can
