2004 XC90 Brake Switch
2004 XC90 Brake Switch
Hello. My XC90 has the "Brake System Failure Stop Safely" warning on the dash. My code reader has a code for Brake Switch Malfunction. I replaced the brake switch (a difficult job given its location on the brake pedal arm). Has anyone seen anything describing how to properly set the adjustment for the brake switch? Thanks.

On the S60 the switch is self adjusting
Brake failure message is usually other things. First thing to look at are the reluctor rings (may also give Anti-Skid message) viewtopic.php?f=9&t=88513
Nest thing is the DEM on the AWD (Xemodex can fix these) https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthrea ... h-my-04-VR
Also possible an BCM module problem (the ABS controller)
