Good to know that there is a chance of making it work.

I couldn't get mine to work at all when I tried a similar swap. I even swapped the instrument cluster and the ETM for good measure. Interestingly enough altered the VIN readout after I changed the cluster, it thought it was the parts car. Swapping the ECU and the alarm module didn't change the VIN.

This is fascinating. And really good news for alot of people that have similar problems. Please report back if you get it to run without misfires and all functions working.

I kinda wish I could work backwards and find out exactly all what actually needed to be changed. I kinda went all out even swapped the cluster and srs module. I did get the misfire handled (bad coil on 4) but chasing my ass on this radiator was leaking so I swapped that but the cooling system is over pressurizing when it warms up and I am getting no boost did find a bad vacuum line but still no boost oh and sounds like I have a bad lifter now aswell but other then that all electronic functions seem to be perfectly fine.

Looks like heater core is now leaking but I believe that happened on the test drive from the system over pressurizing. So I'll do that tomorrow aswell and see where I stand.

Well heater core is fixed all seemed good till I went on a test drive then same thing it over pressurized and blew out the cap. I did run a compression test last night and that was all good straight across no signs of the new head gasket being bad. Also ran into what sounds like alternator bearing going bad and car died on the test drive. I'm about to light the damn thing on fire. Oh and has a p0014 exhaust cam advance code but everything is dead on not sure if that code is contributing to my boost issue threw a guage in and I'm only hitting the min 4lbs ish.
