What are these and what do they do?

Doing some work on my 02 c70. There are 2 of them. They attach to the plastic windguard (under carriage/bumper). Remove the cover and now not sure how the go back on or what is there purpose.

Temperature sensors. One is for the display in the car, and I think the other is for the ECU (could be wrong). There should be little holes on each side in the air guide where they clip in.
