EPB (Electronic parking brake)

Hi Guys;
Can anyone tell me an easy way to tell if I have the "EPB" unit on my older P2?
2002 V70 Base
Just wondered if I have to deal with removal of this if I decide to do my own rear brake pads.

It has a mechanical handle between the front seats, and the parking brake is completely independent of the rear brake pads. The parking brake is drum style, acting on the inside of the rear brake rotor/drum (its both)

One last "rear" brake question here. I believe everyone says to just press or clamp the piston back in but I just read about the need to turn the piston back into a flat position with that special tool. Is this necessary? The rotating aspect.

Push the piston back in using a C clamp. No turning required on the caliper pistons.
