Hi all, is there anyone that can help me with some info regarding the bumperbar on the 122 -
Was it fitted to the US cars because of some law, and if so = why was it deleted for the 1965 model ?
It seem to be an awfull expensive item, if it just were a "bling" thingie ?
Also can anyone help with info, regarding if they were sold as a accessory after 1964 ?
Thanks

"Yankee" bars were affixed to NA (North American) market cars supposedly because of American's style of "bash-n-crash" parking habits.
I believe they came on all NA PV544 models, but may have been a dealer installed option on 122s.
It was not based on any regulatory requirements.
Not sure if they were sold as an accessory in later years.
