I recently got this 2001 Volvo V70 and its caused me a total headache. Currently it’s the door locks.
The car will no longer lock or unlock from inside using the lock button on doors. None of the doors work. The only thing that works is using key to lock unlock driver door. No other locks open of close except manually. And seems like i need to be able to unlock to get to gas cap access, so cant put gas in tank!
Really hoping this is a cheap fix. anyone hVe thoughts what this might be?

Welcome to the forum.
Do you have a functional keyfob?
If so, from outside the car, lock and unlock the system three times. This helps engage the security system. I believe you can also do this with the key in the driver's door lock.
If that doesn't work, go to the cargo bay and check fuse #8 (for rear doors and gas filler door). Also in the cargo bay, relays RMI20 and RMI21 control, locking and unlocking the rear doors and the gas filler door.
The search function may also give you other ideas/fixes.

Tank you! I actually do not have a functioning keyfob. so the only way to open it is from the key itself. I will try to get a battery or whatever is needed for that fob to work again. I will look into that RM120 also. I am very non car savvy, but my friend can hopefully help me on this. Thanks again!
