Found radiator seep.
Good news Nissens FCP $57
Bad news 5.8 hours with first step being remove front clip...

Yeah... it makes my Miata look like the manliest car ever!
Gotta love working on those Beetles though... lots of Vdubs require removing the front clip for stuff like that. My cousin works for VW.

Cheap for a Nissens radiator though! That's what I paid for an eBay lifetime warranty radiator for the S60.

Just finally got a new tailgate latch for my R last week, so I was able to put my tailgate panel back together... it's nice to have it look nice again! I finally broke down and ordered all new clips from FCP.

Happen to know that part number? I think I have ONE that still is alive, squeaks like a spawn of satan...

Never mind, found it. I should have searched a bit harder, but was being lazy... Apparently it is 4 each of 9145885 and 4 each of 9143678 (the latter I cannot find...)
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Got all of them from FCP. 4 of these https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-9145885 and 4 of these, plus a couple extra because I needed to replace the ones on the top piece. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-9132876

Looks like the first PN was right, but the smaller clips are 9132876.

On Sunday ... I noticed the 98 V70's headlights weren't on and went to investigate. Headlight switch fell apart in my hand!

So I fiddled with it long enough to deem it only reparable by a barely functional zip-tie-and-dremel kludge. But then thought to try swapping in a spare 850 headlight switch I had. It turns out the headlight switch is one of the few interior switches the same between the 850 and the P80 V70. Not matched for color but matched exactly for form and function. Good thing it fits too, as that allowed my kid to head back to school with the car without interruption.

I mounted this cute little amp to an mdf board that i had cut to the correct size for mounting in the trunk where the oem junk used to live.

Lots of cables and stuff, im just steering clear of all that and routing new leads. Im keeping the speaker wiring though to save some time and headache.
