Loosen ANY lug nut

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

Great picture.. quite a lot of interesting mods going on there.. Can't imagine you get much life out of the tires though. ;-)

Ultimately the lugs shouldn't be on that tight... In a jam this is a great idea.

Thanks. You can't see the interior mods in that painting... like... I replaced the CEL.

Thanks. You can't see the interior mods in that painting... like... I replaced the CEL.
Should replace that with one that says FCP =P

When I buy any used car, this is what I do for the wheels to avoid seized wheels:

1. Jack up each wheel.
2. Remove all the lugs and remove the wheel.
If the wheel is seized onto the hub (snow area with salt), there is trick in forum to undo it, search for the tricks.
3. Apply anti-seize around the hub bore. Also a bit of anti-seize on each lug (about "one drop" of anti-seize).
4. Now your wheel can be replaced in the middle of nowhere without being seized.
2004 V70 2.5T 100K+
2005 XC90 2.5T 110K+
