2005 XC90 AWD V8 oil cooler

Just picked up an oil cooler from a junkyard to replace the one on mine. Looks like mine has a dent or two from hitting something. I pressure tested it at 20PSI overnight to ensure that the coolant doesn't leak internally, and now want to clean it out. I used mineral spoirits and rinsed it as much as possible, it comes out clear, but there are still small chunks of crud coming out. Used a whole can of brakleen and got quite a bit more out. I need to take it to work tomorrow and use compressed air to blow as much gunk and residual cleaner out of it as possible. Dealer gets $415.00 for a new one, this was only 25 bucks... does anyone know if the cooler is before or after the filter?

" Oil is led from the oil sump via a suction nozzle to the oil pump, which is located on the crankshaft. The oil pump suction function is facilitated by a purge valve that eliminates any air from the system. The oil is pumped on to the oil cooler system and then on to the oil filter. The oil is led from the filter through a cast oil duct in the intermediate section to the main bearings. The oil is distributed to the big-end bearings via drilled channels in the crankshaft... "
