I uninstalled SQL and went back through the installation, and now I'm up and running. Thanks for the tip!

Now hopefully it continues to work!

HI Rick - I just ran through this and it went beautifully, however there is one step I suggest you add for Windows 10 Pro. I kept getting an error about port 80 being in use. For some reason the "World Wide Web Publishing Service" was enabled. This laptop was my son's and it was heavily restricted, so I'm not sure why WWWPS was enabled.

The easiest way to disable it is by launching MSCONFIG (yes, it still exists in Win 10), click on the "Services" tab, sort by service name, scroll down to "World Wide Web Publishing Service" and then uncheck the check box, and then click on "OK". I did that, rebooted, and then everything worked flawlessly.

I have a Dice unit but lost the laptop I had the software installed to in a house fire. I tried to use a Virtualbox image I found from my Win 10 laptop but I'm not having success reading vehicle info or using the Dice "Test Communication Tool". I see the Dice tool and enable it for the Virtualbox but no go. On the Virtualbox machine Device Manager I see the Dice tool with an error the driver cannot start. Does the driver need to be installed on the host machine?

Does the host version of DOTNET matter with a Virtualbox image because I am on 4.0.30319.

I've had my Vida for ages, and as most people it seems struggled to get it working!!
Now I need to get it up and running so I'm trying again, this thing is sapping hours of my time!!

I'm running it on a virtual machine, Windows 7 ultimate, IE8. I had to add http://localhost to my safe sites list (also disabled the protection) and now get the login screen. But that's just it - a login screen?
I've tried running the patch on page 1 of this thread, but get an error 'tskill.exe isn't a valid command' or somethign similar. then the installation seems to continue, but with no notification that it ever completed.

Any help? I'm assuming I don't need to register with Volvo to log in?!?

Any help appreciated, I'm finally getting close after a very long time!

1. Are you running the patch in the virtual machine and not the host OS?
2. Ignore 'tskill.exe isn't a valid command', it is an artifact from the Windows XP era, the patch still works.
3 If you install 2014D_RePack you you don't need a virtual machine, install it native in windows 10, 8 or 7.
4. If you install it native in Windows 7, do the Chrome conversion. Then it will work with IE11 and .net framework 4.X installed. You will still need .net framework 3.5 installed.

Alternative: Manually add the torrent link to qBittorrent.

Copy the magnet link in line below to your clipboard.
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:1b2995ac6b8926893e3dea41c01ce92208b19c8d

In qBitorrent go to File on the menu then select Add Torrent link.
In the box start a new line and paste the magnet link from the clipboard.
Click download.

Similar procedures for other bittorrent clients.

I have VIDA2014 working through Chrome, but recently DICE isn't working anymore.

What do you think that happened?

Why I was able to run VIDA with DICE before but I can't anymore?

By the way, when running DICE test, I get an interface test failure.

Be more specific, what failed ?
Did you use the standalone DiCE diagnostics or the DiCE diagnostics in VIDA?
