I am trying to install LED switchback lights to my 2001xc70. I have picked up the dual filament bulb holder used in US markets, but not keen on the resistor 'dummy load' option as everyone says those things get hot.

My original idea was to keep the 21w globes as a dummy load and use a mini relay to operate the LED, this will work but looking for a better way.

Has anyone tried and succeeded in modifying the shunt for the indicator lights?

I found thus post from 2016, but it stops at ' next I will see if this mod works for indicator lights....'
