Mechanical lever for folding backrest forward doesn't work

The two front seats of my C70 Classic Convertible still work great electrically. However, the mechanical lever for folding the backrest forward no longer works for both seats. I want to try to repair it myself. Does anyone have any instructions? What is broken? Should the chair be removed in its entirety and how to do that, etc? Maybe include pictures. Thanks in advance. I believe that is cable driven and likely you need to remove the seat skin. Abscate may have made a post in the past on doing this as I believe he re-skinned a seat at one point.
