2002 c70 frame bushing

2002 c70 frame bushing

order ipd frame inserts,today i remove the front drive bushing and its green and aluminum,the insert dont fit this bushing,i dont think this a volvo oem part ,any help on this bushing????

This looks like the front sub-frame bushing. IPD sells a lot of parts that are not OE Volvo parts. This does not mean they are a bad part as some aftermarket parts are ok too.

It may be worth a call to IPD to confirm you have the correct part shipped to you for your model and year. I have had suppliers ship the wrong parts in the past.

I have not fitted this part myself in the past but had the dealer do it after giving up trying to eradicate an annoying groan in the front of the car.

Hopefully someone else on here can give you guidance on installing the part, or try searching for a guide on MVS for installing the part.

Those are definitely aftermarket, Volvo bushings are rubber. Honestly you're better off with the aluminum bushings than the inserts with rubber bushings (then again, this depends on your NVH tolerance).
That said, my new question is where those aluminum bushings came from. I've only ever seen delrin subframe bushings for these cars, never aluminum. Must be an old part that nobody is making anymore.

when i remove the bolt and pry the bushing out from frame there i thin rubber layer stuck in the frame.i put it right back together unitll i find a replacement.Why i total replace the hold front end that poppin noise when i come out of my driveway sound like the car falling apart.a wobble like a bad rotor at low speed brakes or no brakes applied.
