Well it seems someone totally missed that...

Cruise control is now fully functioning! Replacing the vacuum actuator booster pump under the battery tray and adjusting the cruise cut off switch above the brake switch did the trick. The vacuum pump had a damaged spot that looks like battery acid must have dripped at one time. I had one vacuum hose break when removing the old pump. Luckily I had grabbed the one from the pick a part when pulling the pump off of the donor vehicle. After replacing the pump and hose it only worked when lifting up on the brake pedal. Originally did not see the cruise cut off switch when I first wedged myself under the dash. I was adjusting the brake switch instead. Found the culprit upon second inspection. Pressed brake, pulled out the end of it two clicks, released brake and it popped back in only one click. Now it works like a charm!

On Monday (Sept 30, 2019) I FINALLY bought the car I wanted, 1998 v70 xc, black, ugly hood, 144k miles.
1. Yesterday, I stripped out the headliner (cloth came halfway off on hwy, I stripped the rest off at travel plaza) and almost all the interior. Got the carpet vacuumed.
2. Today I personally shampooed the carpet and rugs with non-concentrate Dawn, a $1 scrub brush, and a wet/dry shop-vac.
3. I am about to clean up the dashboard and the entire middle console, reinstall the mc.
Tomorrow, my car is getting an oil change. I will be getting a new oil dipstick in the mail and then an STP oil filter (AutoZone) and a couple jugs of Mobile 1 5W-30 full synthetic oil (Walmart). I have lots more to post from now til before Thanksgiving.
