Volvo four cylinder fuel trim data

Post by emtor »

Engine B4148S2, 1.8 litre non turbo non GDI.
Been doing some cleaning and forgot to insert the IACV harness which caused the ECU to throw a P0505.
I looked at the freeze frame data and my code scanner reports data for bank1 and bank3.
Since this is a 4 cyl. engine I thought it only had bank1.
Can someone explain why I see data for banks 1 and 3?

Some engines actually split the 4 cylinders into two sets. I would have thought bank 1 & 2 but I guess it could be 1 & 3. I would also think that this system would have more engine control sensors to measure performance of the different "banks"
