Ignition Conversion to Bosch from Chrysler

Post by CBolen »

I have a 1982 244 DL with a B21F-9 MPG motor. I bought it used in 2011 with 190,000+ miles. It has the Chrysler ignition/distributor. The distributor pick up coil broke last month at 295,000. I found a re-man. distributor online and had it installed. The "new" pick-up coil is failing. As the car is my daily driver, I have ordered a new pick up Standard Motor Parts LX-954 coil (very expensive) from Summit to get the car back on the road quickly. I'm fed up with the Chrysler system and want to convert to a Bosch ignition/distributor system for the long term. In addition to a Bosch distributor, what all must be done (parts, wiring, etc.) to complete the conversion to Bosch ignition? Thank you, CBolen
