Reverse bump sound Volvo v50 2.4 Automatic

Hello everybody.I have a problem with Aisin AW55-51 Volvo V50 2.4 140hp.
My problem is with transmision.First the Valve body was refurbished and fuild was change but when i switch from N to R or R to D or R to N has a bump sound like a hard shift.The service that make refurbished tells me: that is a mechnical problem you need to change left axle.Any one has a same problem?It is posible from broken axle make hard shift on reverse?
