2001 C70 battery issue? Computer/radio keeps resetting
(2001 c70 convertible) I have been having an issue where my radio repeatedly requires the code to be input, I believe this is related to a battery issue because the computer constantly resets, causing me to have to reset the clock. Also on 2 occasions the car did not respond upon turning the key in the ignition, no clicks or lights will occur, although after a minute or two I can start the car. Has anyone experienced this issue? I have examined the grounding which looks clean, and there is no sign of corrosion on the battery terminals. Car was purchased 3 weeks ago.

A common failure point on P80 cars (yours is one of these) is the electrical part of the ignition switch. If you don't want to 'throw parts' at it, though, when you have the no crank situation, trace the loss of 12 Volts backwards until you find the fault.
I would give the ignition switch about 60% probability of solving it.

This sounds almost like the main amp going into protection mode.
It may be too much of a speaker load if they aren’t wired correctly,
a problem caused by a previous owner trying to modify the system
or the amp may just be on it’s way out...
I’d think about disconnecting the 4 outputs of the main amp one at
a time and see if that resolves the shutdown issue and points you at
a bad speaker channel.
Does this car have the extra subs in the rear seat backs?
