I just cleared the codes and the flashing arrow went out. It shifted 1-3 normally but would never go into 4. I hit a level stretch at 45mph and backed out of the throttle to try to induce a 3-4 shift and the check engine light came on along with the flashing arrow and it went to 3rd gear only limp mode. So I came home and plugged the scanner in. The check engine light is on but there are no codes.
My question is does anyone know if running open exhaust too long will make the trans limp or is it coincidental? Also, does low voltage at the rear 02 sensor mean it is reading a low signal or that the voltage to it is too low? This one has had other power feed issues related to the inside fuse box connections. Eg: one headlight was out and slamming my fist on top the fusebox made it go on again. I think the bank of spade connectors on the underside of the fuses are oxidized.
I just want to look at every possibility before I open up the front of the trans to check shift solenoids.
