Hello folks,
I'm currently trying to replace the brake booster switch and hose for a 2001 V40. Hoping for some tips
The short story is that the vacuum check switch snapped in half, I bought a replacement part that comes with the switch and hoses going to the electric pump as well as the engine. The pump hose is simple enough, depress a little clip and the hose comes right off.
I'm not sure how to remove the end that goes into the crank case. The replacement part only has an inch long brass section but the old one will only pull for a tiny bit before it just wouldn't budge. Is there a trick?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

I am about to switch out the booster vacuum hose. Were you able to figure it out?
I was poking around (to see what was up with my brakes) and the valve was clearly busted. That said, the part is tucked away pretty well and it looked like accessing it was going to be a pain. Any advice?
