2008 V50 non turbo

I want to buy this car from a dealer for $3000 / 80k miles and not sure if is a good choice compared to other volvos options.I wanted a smaller wagon than xc70/90 and more economical on gas
I use to own 2 cars 850 1995 and one s60 2006.
How is the v50 compared to other volvos and reliability and problems?
I am concerned about non turbo model -if it has enough power to accelerate at least as the old 850 non turbos
