2006 Volvo C70 runs rough in drive

Runs smooth in Park or Neutral, but most of the time when in drive or reverse it sounds rough. By rough I mean like extra loud like there is a small exhaust leak. Occasionally it will run perfect in drive then go back to sounding rough. I did find a crack in the radiator fluid reservoir and will be replacing tomorrow but I wouldn't think that would cause it to sound rough. Any ideas?
