Assembly/disassembly question

Post by Mikele82 »

Hello,
I want to do a PCV replacement on my xc70.
but I see my 2004 model has a few more things in the way of doing it compared with the S60, S80, V70, XC70, XC90 video.

I made a whole slideshow but missing these parts steps to complete task
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=90704&p=515941#p515941

I can't find these on the service pdf I have.

Can anyone explain or direct me to information on the extra parts Assembly/disassembly steps for this xc70 model I have (pictures)
And are there any more surprises per this particular model PCV replacement procedure?

is B a fuel line?
is A the ABS relay or power steering pump?

and what's the procedure to take this one out (A,B)

"B" in the third picture (pixilated so it's hard to tell) appears to be fuel hard line. They changed the configuration of these over the years, several times.

You don't need to take "B" (4th picture) loose at the power steering pump.

That's the power steering pressurized line. I have one like that. It's a bit more of a pain in the ass, but it's not terrible. It's a bit unnerving at first, but it does flex a bit, don't be scared to move it around once unbolted. Just take out the T25 screw holding it's retainer (& also the OTE charge pipe) out & carry on as normal.
