The exhaust on my non-turbo 1998 V70 seems to have gotten somewhat sportier (louder). I was underneath today and could not find a single leak anywhere. Has a stock Volvo exhaust. The increased sound is actually coming out of the tailpipe, and nowhere else.
Is it possible that baffles inside that big muffler have failed causing the final exhaust not to be louder? Bear in mind that it's not real bad, just definitely noticeable (to me).
Any ideas or shared experiences?
