Here are a couple more pictures of my paint attempt in a more unforgiving light.

Not today, but monday, i replaced the ECC unit, and in doing so, regained the use of climate control! since purchasing the vehicle, i had no control over fan speed or temperature, and since its been getting colder, i really needed my defroster to work. Also upgraded the interior grab handles from the ugly tan 850 ones to the nicer gray and black ones from an s70 awd found at the junkyard (it was burgundy with a FLAWLESS black interior and it caused me physical pain seeing it at the junkyard).

Nice! I love do88 products. I have their intercooler, top quality! Also the most money I've ever spent on a car part

The hoses quality looks great, but I have too many parts to replace to justify a 400$ intercooler
I'll go for an ebay one, i'm not making massive amount of power anyway.
Started the gearbox fluid change tonight, I got the fill plug loose (with a lot of extensions and a big breaker bar
), but drain plug didn't want to move. I'll go buy a better spanner tomorrow morning and I hope it comes loose

It was a tough call for me, but after reading about the eBay one versus the do88 or Snabb, there were clear advantages with the do88. Once I'm making real power, it'll make a real difference!
That said, my cousin is running an eBay one in his T5, and it's been good.

Used the T5 to chase parts for the E83 front end work, which fought me every step of the way
Every nut froze. Driveshaft froze, strut nut came off fine, the shank snapped off and stuck in knuckle.
Pushed hub out ok, need press for the bearing ( love the Volvo design, much better)
Put new plugs in the T5 at 241k, 24k on them

Man, am I happy I have rust free southern cars. Fortunately it's pretty rare that I have to deal with anything that's badly seized up.

After disappearing from the internet for a couple months... A lot has happened with my T5. Turns out my rear brake problems was simply down to excessive runout on the old rotors. Installed new rotors, Akebono pads, and paid a shop $70 to install new rear hoses (every connection was over tightened and stripped out). Gave her an oil change, full exterior detail, and rotated my tires. Front struts are blown now, so need to harvest those new ones off my parts car. Hoping the springs are the same, but have a feeling they are not. What's the color code for a 98 S70 T5 front springs (please say blue/green)? And lastly, my passenger door check has failed at the ripe old age of 22.5 years / 274k miles. Something else to harvest off the parts car.
