My 2004 V70 2.5T with 110K miles is fine.
As preventive maintenance, I replaced the Outlet Hose #1 using Volvo genuine hose. So, that is good.
The question is Inlet Hose #2 in a 2.5T engine...
In the P80 (Volvo 850, 1998 S70, V70), this Inlet hose is:
a. Notoriously difficult to replace. I did that on the 1998 S70 with 150K and
it was a nightmare (documented in the P80 forum).
b. Usually leaks at 150K or so.
Therefore, similar question for Inlet Hose #2 for 2.5T engine, such as 2004 V70 2.5T. I don't hear this hose leak in P2 2.5T engine. But the questions for 2.5T engine:
1. What is the PN for this hose?
2. Does it ever leak?

I have no experience with this hose on any Volvo engine, but on everyone I have worked on the hose always looked good, even at or near 200k miles.

It appears the same hose for #1 is used for #2. Thinking back, real world observation, the hose appears to be the same for both locations. The piping is of the same size and the length about the same based on memory. Of course function is basically the same.
As to replacement - can you get your hands in there? I would think if you can get there from below - just cut the hose and disconnect the easiest mounting point to gain some movement. Then remove the crimps and hose. Replace hose on fixed side first, have clamp already installed and cinch it up. Then do other side where you have more movement. If you can get your hands up there, cutting the hose in half in the middle and removing one securing point should give you the ability to change it rather easily.

This is a place to use a oetiker clamp so you don’t have to go back and foxtrot with it

I was looking at a 2005 XC90 2.5T youtube video on axle seal DIY.
Here is a screenshot of this hose.
Luckily, it looks like it has a White Silicone insert with Black Rubber on the outside, so it should last > 150K miles...

The trick to replacement is to lubricate internals of new hose with something like WD40 so you can slide it well over the barb and then back onto the 2nd side again fighting friction with WD40 on the other end of it. I haven't had any of them leak but I replaced it with standard heater hose made by either Gates or Continental on 2 cars I've floundered around with.
