How to disable door change me in 2009 XC90

Hello and thanks in advance if you know the answer!

All functions in my driver-side door stopped functioning just after my local shop was working on the power steering pump (coincidence? Not sure) and I need to think what to do before chunking down a huge amount of money to replace the driver side wiring harness. Meanwhile, I need to disable the door chime, which is on constantly when the key is in the ignition. I took out every fuse in the panel under the steering wheel and disconnected a couple of other things while I was there - no change except when I disconnect the ignition fuse, obviously, that won’t work.

I looked into fixing the wiring myself, look8ng for a loose connection that had come unplugged. Took off the door panel but cannot get into that boot coil between the door and body to see if anything shook loose or is broken, etc.

At this point I just want to turn off the door chime so the car will still be reasonably drivable. Can anyone help?.

Yes, I’ve googled it many times in all kinds of different ways, but this is the first time I’ve seen that I need to cut a connection on a circuit board. Thanks! Happy to do that, have done so before but do you know if there’s a diagram? I will search it out, just worth asking if you happen to know. Thanks ...

You can try to just unplug the door chime, the chime shows to built into the circuit board on the CEM central electronics module under the left side of the dash. You can also check ecco.com.my for more info.
