Hey. new guy here. So I'm gonna run down every thing I did incase I'm missing something important. So I knew my 2001 Volvo xc70 had old black fluid in the the power steering tank but it had no problems but I decided to flush it with CHF 11S.
I took off the hose and pumped out all the fluid by turning the wheel lock to lock with the car off. I then poured in the new fluid then bleeded the system by turning the wheel lock to lock with the car off then did the same with the car on.
But now when I drive the car and turn left or right I feel a jitter from the wheel.
When I first flushed it the jitter was very noticeable but after letting the car sit so the air bubbles can come out the jitter seems to be less noticeable.
I don't know it if it's something as simple as a few air bubbles remaining in the system or if it's something serious
Thank you to any one that can shed any light on this issue
The power steering fluid I used

I am almost certain that you are correct, you still have air in the system (don’t ask why I am so confident). It should eventually work its way out but it may take quite some time.
What I did was lift the drive wheels off the ground and then turn the wheel from lock to lock. It will still take a lot of turning.
Good luck

Re: Getting jitter in the steering wheel after flushing the power steering fluid
Does it jitter the entire time turning left and right or at certain points. Does the jitter have accompanying sound?

Re: Getting jitter in the steering wheel after flushing the power steering fluid
@movolvos It had jitter any time I turned it left and right. No there was no sound. But yesterday when I drove it there was no jitter and there was no jitter today either. I looked and saw the fluid level dropped a little. I think there was just air in the system but I'm not sure. Thank you for your help

@ljsommar1 thank you. I think air was the issue I'm gonna keep an eye on it to make sure it's not something else

You're welcome, no sound means it's most likely air in the system. Always nice when it's something simple and cost nothing.Pluckmaster wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 8:25 am@movolvos It had jitter any time I turned it left and right. No there was no sound. Re: Getting jitter in the steering wheel after flushing the power steering fluid
When you pump out the old fluid, it is important to keep adding new fluid on the intake side - drain some out of the return hose, but top up into the reservoir, so the level never goes below low. Then repeat.
This ensures that the pump is never running dry which can cause wear, and avoids air getting into the system.
Not sure that you did actually drain, then only fill at the end.
