Don't care so much about the car, but I'd sure love to stick that X-Cargo hauler on that Celebrity I posted a while back!

Oooh I could really use all the turbo parts... it's a shame they just want to crush all that stuff. There are SOOO many things I could use from that car.
That's terrible... why do people think those wheels look good on XC90s?

I'm with you. Driver's taillight is from the junk yard. Lots of cosmetic issues. When was the last time it ran?

Could be worth as much as $600 to the right buyer. Maybe $700 in Boston, adjusted for cost of living.

The car appears to be as much of a disaster as the ad.

That ad was perfectly good word salad. The worst part was those beautiful 24s* in the picture weren’t included in the sale. And, for that reason, Im out.

(Technically, a sentence fragment, violating MVS Terms/Conditions)

Volvo V70 T5 w/M66 manual swap. 159241 miles. I am the third owner and purchased the car about 4-yrs ago at 108000 miles. Manual swap was completed around 105000 miles. This has been a great car and performs well. It pulls strong and handles especially well at speed. This car was primarily used as my work commuter car and since purchasing has had mostly highway miles. I have put a lot of work into this car on top of what the previous owner had invested. Unfortunately, it will need a new manual transmission (M66). I suspect the differential went. It makes a very loud whine/grind at all speeds in all gears, especially 1st and 2nd once warmed up. Noise is not present with clutch in and at speed. Clutch and throw-out bearing are fine. Clutch, flywheel and throw-out bearing were replaced around 25K miles ago w/ V70R clutch and TTV billet flywheel. I drained the transmission oil and found a lot of brass/steel, large flakes. The car will need a new M66 transmission (found in C70, V70R, S60R, V50 and S40). The car does run. Since sitting car has developed a heavy idle surge. I suspect the yellow label ETM. Car will need to be towed.

Factory Options:
- Rear facing third row seat
- Integrated booster seats
- Black leather interior w/ front power sport seats (very comfortable)
- Dual climate control
- Sunroof
- Power everything

The following work was completed by the previous owner:
- Poly front control arm bushing
- H&R lowering springs
- Bilstein Sport struts & shocks all around
- Front subframe polyurethane inserts
- Snabb air intake
- Hilton Stage II tune (included software changes for conversion to manual)
- IPD boost gage
- OBX 3” Stainless exhaust and down pipe (w/ Cat. Delete)
- Solid Upper Strut brace mounts
- Full timing belt service including water pump
- Engine resealed (valve cover, cam seals, oil pump, oil pan, oil cooler lines)
- Forge Motorsport turbo bypass valve
- New OEM passenger side axle

Since owning the car I have:
- New OEM radiator, with full system flush
- Boost pressure sensor
- Turbo outlet silicone hoses (IPD)
- New alternator
- New front subframe bushings and polyurethane inserts
- Upper and lower polyurethane engine torque mounts
- New V70R clutch, OEM throw-out bearing and TTV Single Mass Billet Flywheel (@135K)
- New driver-side OEM axle
- New front wheel bearings including dust seals
- Fuel Filter
- MAF (Bosch)
- New ignition coils (Bosch OEM)
- Brake fluid flush
- New urethane boost solenoid valve tubing
- Drivers side window regulator
- Full alignment

The car still looks great but does show some wear. Interior and exterior are better then most cars for the age however. There are no rips or tears in the seats and the interior still looks great. AC works as do all other options on the car aside from drivers side heated seat and cruise control. The car comes with a full set of studded snow tires mounted on steel wheels and other assorted parts. The tires were used two seasons. I have full set of maintenance records from previous owners and during my ownership. Hoping to sell this car to another Volvo enthusiast who will fix &enjoy. Asking 1000. Cash-in-hand at time of sale. Call or txt 860-792-one zero five zero.

I missed the catback and Cat delete

That’s not inspectable in my state and illegal elsewhere

And the juju of driving a cat less car sucks too

$1500 is a little nutty for that thing... maybe $400 on a good day. "Head gasket" issues usually amount to way more than just a head gasket, especially on these cars!
But it's an AWD, so there's that!

I figured as much, but that wagon's got a lot of good parts! Unfortunately I haven't seen a turbo redblock in junkyards around here in quite a while.

Catless is legal here on that car as of 2021

But yeah, my cousin's S70 is catless with the OBX exhaust... it stinks!

It might be legal at state level, but it is a violation of Federal law to remove a cat via the Clean Air Act of 1990
