The big problem over here with T4s is people buy the T4 Winnebago Camper, which overloads the tranmission, then want to go 80 mph up the Rockies with the AC full on - and burn up the transmissions.

We have about 30 of them local and no AT problems in our group of sane drivers

There is a lot of forum chaff of gleeful first owners who buy T4s at 150k for $5000, then finding out they got chumped with a 7k bad tranmission bill, and blame VW for their loss
